What appears to be an ordinary, suburban ranch was once home to Jeffrey Dahmer. A place, where Dahmer murdered his first victim, Steven Hicks, in 1978 before scattering victim’s remains around the property.

Sitting on nearly two acres of beautifully-wooded property along West Bath Road with a pond, walking trails and scenic gardens sit a 2,100 square foot home has a lot to offer, including a dark history.

In 2016, after spending four years on the market, the house has become available to rent for $8,000 per month during the Republican National Convention. As of today, the house is no longer for sale. Reports say that one of the latest owners, musician Chris Butler, who put the house for sale in 2012, still owns it.

Originally appearing in True Crime Magazine’s Behind the Tape Photobook, below is the ultimate photo tour inside the house hiding murderous secrets.
